Mining engineer, expert in EU energy law and legislative drafting, Gilberto Dialuce has been President of ENEA since July 2021. A consultant to the Ministry of Ecological Transition, Dialuce has gained an over 40 year institutional and academic expertise in the energy sector both nationally and internationally. He was Director General of various Departments of the Ministry of Economic Development where he also dealt with hydrocarbons, security of supply, market liberalization, new technologies, energy efficiency, nuclear and renewable sources. Representative for Italy in various bilateral cooperation committees, he was head of delegation at the EU energy councils, at the G7 and G20 energy ministers meetings, Clean Energy Ministerial, Mission Innovation and organized and managed two Italian presidencies at the G7 energy . Chairman of the Emergency and Monitoring Committee of the national gas system, he was a member of the board of directors of the Electricity Market Operator, a MISE representative in the Higher Council of Public Works and a member of the management committee of the Equalization Fund for the Electricity Sector. He was a professor at the Higher School of Public Administration and the University Roma3.
