Director Public Affairs ENI
Lapo Pistelli was born in Florence in 1964. Since July 2020, Director of Public Affairs at Eni.
He graduated in International Law in 1988 from the “Cesare Alfieri” Faculty of Political Science in Florence. He worked at a research center while serving for two mandates in the local administration of Florence.
From 1996 to 2015, member of the Italian Parliament (1996/2004 and 2008/2015) and the European Parliament (2004/2008). Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation from 2013 to 2015. He joined Eni in July 2015.
He has taught at the University of Florence, Stanford University, and other foreign universities. He has collaborated with European and American think tanks and is a member of the board of the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) and the Institute of International Affairs (IAI). He is a member of the editorial committee of WE – World of Energy and collaborates with Limes and Aspenia magazines . He is Chairman of OMEC (Organisation Méditerranéenne de l’Energie et du Climat).
