Head of Innovation Beyond the Core Nestlé Italia

Barbara Vita is responsible for Innovation Beyond The Core at Nestlé Italy and, most recently, she oversees also eBusiness initiatives. In her current role Barbara leads the identification of new growth opportunities for new product categories, hence business models and integrated services through acceleration, openness to start-ups and sharing capabilities. In addition, she is currently a mentor/judge for the accelerator MassChallenge Switzerland and Cariplo Terra Next in Italy. During her 20+ years career within the Nestlé Group, she has developed important skills in the areas of marketing, digital transformation and consumer personalisation, holding positions of increasing responsibility also at international level. Barbara contributed to the strengthening and growth of key business like Buitoni and Baci Perugina brands, up to holding the position of Marketing Director for the Food division creating new opportunities outside traditional channels. In 2012 her career was enriched by another experience leading the Consumer Engagement & Multibrand CRM where, through digital and new platforms, she unlocked the opportunities arising from the continuous changes in consumers behaviour and consumer needs. She also launched the Digital Room (aka Digital Acceleration Team – DAT) as centre for social listening and digital interaction with the consumers. In 2014, she moved to Vevey at Nestlé HeadQuarter where, as Global Digital Marketing Lead, she developed the ‘Personalisation’ strategy and led the related roll-out of innovative cross-category digital business initiatives, before returning to Italy in her current role.
